Family Selection Committee                             

Committee Chair: Montee Kennedy

This committee shall be responsible for drafting the selection criteria and application forms, screening applications, interviewing applicants, and recommending applicants to the Board of Directors for approval as prospective homeowners.


Family Partnership Committee                        

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible for providing Habitat homeowners and prospective homeowners with a mutual support system, educational opportunities, and a forum for discussions pertaining to home ownership and maintenance, all for the purpose of helping- families to break the poverty cycle and become independent.


Site Selection Committee                                  

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible for targeting the area or areas of the community in which the projects of the corporation shall be developed, investigating and researching the availability of property, recommending property to the Board of Directors for acquisition, and negotiating conditions for purchase and sale of property, such conditions to be approved by the Board.  The committee shall work in conjunction with the Building Committee to evaluate the suitability of potential sites prior to acquisition.


Building Committee                                            

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible for planning and implementing the construction projects of the corporation.  The tasks to be directed by this committee shall include obtaining house plans, soliciting professional help and donations of building materials, coordinating volunteers, and supervising construction.


Faith Relations Committee                               

Committee Chair: Lesa Carnahan

This committee is responsible for bringing an increasing number of faith groups into the work of the corporation and keeping the faith groups informed of the corporation's progress and prayer needs.


Grant Committee                                                 

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible for obtaining grant funds to aid in supporting the goals of the corporation.  The tasks to be carried out by this committee shall include seeking out potential donors, preparing and submitting applications, and ensuring that the corporation complies with all requirements of grants that are received.


Volunteers Committee                                       

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible for recruiting volunteers needed by the corporation and coordinating committee and special project needs for volunteers.  The tasks to be carried out by this committee shall include maintaining the volunteer data base and mailing list, providing clerical support, and providing liaison to other committees as needed.


Public Relations Committee                             

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible for educating and informing, the public regarding the mission and purposes of the corporation, the need for better and more affordable housing in certain areas, and the steps being, taken to meet this need.  The tasks to be coordinated by this committee shall include public speaking, communicating with the news media, and publishing a periodic newsletter.

Fund Raising Committee                                    

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible for planning and coordinating the raising of funds needed to conduct the business of the corporation. The tasks to be coordinated by this committee shall include fund-raising campaigns, special fundraising events, and cultivation of major donors.

ReStore                                                      

Committee Chair:

This committee shall be responsible to review processes and procedures to develop efficiencies. The tasks will be to planning and coordinating Restore events, fundraisers, store resets and developing written procedures.  They will bring potential retail items to management for review.
